Following their retirement from competing, Mark Setrakian's involvement with BattleBots continued as the show was revived in 2015, working behind the scenes and designing the Axis robot which displays the Giant Nut trophy. Mark Setrakian also competed in early US events and several other Comedy Central BattleBots seasons with heavyweight The Master and 480lb superheavyweight Mechadon. Despite defeating Anubis, Snake's unorthodox design and lack of maneuverability was its downfall in the Round of 16 against War Machine, and Snake was eliminated.įollowing the cancelation of Comedy Central BattleBots, Snake made appearances at various events for demonstration, including BattleBots IQ. Snake entered the superheavyweight division of Season 2.0, with Mark Setrakian now joined by Team Sinister's Pete Abrahamson. Mark Setrakian and Snake during Season 2.0. Snake was armed with two main weapons: three large steel jaws at the front and a drill weapon at the rear known as The Punisher. The robot did not use wheels or tracks for locomotion, with different segments of its body instead being individually powered to allow for its entire length to twist and maneuver. It was an unique and unusual robot which, as its name suggested, resembled a large, robotic snake.
